I have two studios here on Chincoteague.
My “shudio” is in a separate building. It is where I can go and paint, draw, or just experiment with different media. Plus, the smell of turpentine won’t infiltrate our house!! I designed the space myself and it suits me perfectly.
My textile studio is in the second floor of my house. Originally, it was a 1950’s spare bedroom with dark paneling, low ceilings, and dim lighting. I changed all that. I ripped out the old paneling, raised the ceiling, added dormers, and put in bright lighting. It is now bright, airy, and organized!!
